Key Dates for December 2024

There are lots of big astrological events happening this December! Here are the key dates to remember as we enter the final month of 2024.

1st December- Sagittarius New Moon:

With the New Moon, you will be able to focus on finding opportunities to expand, explore and experience life. As Mercury is retrograde in Sagittarius during this New Moon, you may find an urge to experience something over again or revisit a place you've been recently. Remember- a New Moon is the perfect time to set intentions for the coming month.

6th December- Mars Retrograde begins in Leo:

Mars begins it's retrograde where it will stay until February. This retrograde can make you feel grumpy, easily irritated and frustrated over the tiniest of things. It is wise to have a healthy outlet for these emotions so think about creative projects or hobbies to help feed your soul during this time.

7th December- Neptune stations Direct:

Yay! Neptune retrograde comes to an end today, allowing the fog that has been obscuring your vision over the last few months, to lift. You will start to feel more connected to your subconscious, intuition and spiritual self. Venus also enters Aquarius today, helping you connect with friends before the holiday season.

15th December- Mercury stations Direct & Gemini Full Moon:

What a big day today! Mercury finally stations direct and you will start to find yourself back on track over the coming weeks. However, with Mars in retrograde, you may not feel fully on track until it ends. Work on opening up and letting optimism guide you.

The Gemini Full Moon enables you to sort through your ideas and finalise a plan. It is also a good time to connect emotionally to your opinions and hold firm if anyone questions your beliefs. You can be more expressive and engaging with the Full Moon, making you more aware of the power words hold.

21st December- Sun enters Capricorn:

Happy Capricorn season! Traditionally, this is a time to be ambitious, make progress and work hard. Remember that Mars is in retrograde though, so you may find it challenging to keep your energy up. If you can find a new way to motivate yourself and keep going, you can still make progress on your projects.

30th December- Capricorn New Moon:

As this is the second New Moon in a calendar month, it is sometimes referred to as a Blue Moon (although recently they've been called Black Moons). This New Moon comes at the perfect time, bringing great energy in for 2025. Focus on your goals and resolutions for the new year and make strides with current projects. Finding new ways to tackle outstanding goals can allow you to hit new heights.
